1. Two different things get paid
OriginAtlas is a platform that travel agents (“Merchants”) use to run their own stores. There are two distinct payments involved, each with its own refund treatment:
- Platform subscription — the flat recurring fee a Merchant pays to OriginAtlas to use the Platform. Covered by Section 2.
- Booking payments — what a Customer pays to a Merchant for a trip, package or service, settled directly into the Merchant’s own payment account. Covered by Section 3.
2. Platform subscription refunds
The platform subscription fee gives you access to the Platform for a billing period.
- Non-refundable by default. Except where required by applicable law, platform subscription fees are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and for periods during which you did not actively use the Platform.
- Manual renewal, no surprise charges. Billing is per period and renewed by you paying for the next period — there is no automatic auto-debit mandate. If you choose not to renew, your subscription simply lapses at the end of the paid period.
- Cancellation. You can stop using the Platform at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund a period already paid for.
- Billing errors. If you believe you were charged in error — for example a duplicate platform charge — contact us within 30 days at support@originatlas.shop and we will investigate and correct genuine errors.
3. Booking refunds are set by each travel agent
OriginAtlas does not process, hold or control the money Customers pay for bookings — those payments go directly to the Merchant’s own payment account, and the contract of sale is between the Customer and the Merchant. As a result:
- Each Merchant sets and honours their own refund and cancellation policy for the trips and services they sell. That policy is published on the Merchant’s own store and governs booking refunds.
- Customers seeking a booking refund should contact the travel agent they booked with, using the contact details on that agent’s store. OriginAtlas cannot issue refunds for bookings on a Merchant’s behalf.
- Refunds for eligible bookings are processed by the Merchant through their payment provider (for example, Razorpay), subject to that provider’s timelines.
If you are a Merchant, you are responsible for offering a clear refund and cancellation policy to your Customers and for handling refund requests in line with it and with applicable consumer-protection law. You can publish yours on your store from your dashboard.
4. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above. This policy governs the platform subscription only; it does not override the individual refund policy a Merchant publishes for their own bookings.
